A Study of Financial Institutions Directors' Remuneration

In November 2009, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) was commissioned to conduct a study on financial institutions' directors' remuneration. This study was a direct result of the feedback and requests received from the participants of the FIDE Program to gain a greater understanding on how director's remuneration affects board's effectiveness and efficiency.

This study is also intended to provide a framework to assess and design appropriate remuneration policies for financial institutions' directors in particular the non-executive directors with the objective of achieving and sustaining an optimal level of board performance.
