FIDE Core Programme
Home > FIDE > FIDE Core Programme
The Financial Institutions Directors' Education (FIDE) Programme was developed in 2008 with Bank Negara Malaysia and Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (now administered by The Iclif Leadership and Governance Centre).
The main objective of the FIDE Programme is to enhance boardroom governance within the financial sector and develop world-class directors who are advocates of best practices and excellence in corporate governance. The FIDE Programme will enhance and promote high standards of corporate governance in financial institutions in Malaysia through various activities including the development and implementation of quality directors’ education programmes, the conduct of research and studies on governance issues in Malaysia, the issuance of publications as well as regular dissemination of information about significant developments in corporate governance.
Suite of FIDE Programmes
The Suite of FIDE Programmes emphasises on continuous learning and development from the best in the industry, where directors have the opportunity to engage with international thought leaders in the field of corporate governance, risk management, internal controls, financial reporting, stakeholder engagement and other relevant topical areas.
The core programme consists of two modules – Module A and Module B and is designed to be highly interactive to allow directors to immerse themselves in case studies, role plays and simulations based on real issues faced by boards today. The programme focuses on enhancing the knowledge and expertise of directors.
